Hair Question Answered by Expert
We had a great opportunity to ask anything about hair Meagan Gallman, a professional hair master colorist, and cosmetologist.
Q: I have pretty white hair,so I’m told about shoulder length. I would like to color my hair and also cut it short. I tried years ago to use Ash Blond hair dye it basically turned it lavender so I haven’t touched it since.
My opinion, embrace your beautiful white hair! Use a well reputable purple shampoo to use once a week to keep it from being dried out. But when coloring over grey or white hair, it’s very important to know the base of the color being used and it’s also possible that the hair will need to fill with the missing pigment beforehand. This way the hair will be rich, vibrant, and not hollow. The color will also not fade out as much. Use the proper home care and PLEASE see a professional to do this for you.
